Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Shell Recharge Solutions is seeking a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team and contribute to the automation QA efforts in collaboration with U.S. and off-shore teams. You will participate in development and testing to ensure timely delivery of QA automation features.

What you’ll do:

• Work with the automation development team to build-out and enhance the software test automation framework and automate the execution of and reduce reliance on manual testing
• Contribute to technical decisions and participate in the full software development lifecycle including integration testing and design of automation processes and codebase
• Code, implement, and enhance existing automation frameworks
• Work closely with Dev, Product, and other QA teams to ensure timely delivery of automation features and capabilities for each sprint release
• Maintain a high level of quality across all automation development efforts Expand existing UI and back-end automation capabilities Track automation test coverage and participate in review processes for automation code Provide honest estimates of work effort and participate in Sprint planning within an Agile SDLC process Communicate clearly and effectively with multiple project teams in order to ensure that the team needs are met for automation

What We’re Looking For:

Basic requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or equivalent work experience required.
• 3+ years of recent experience with relevant hands-on test automation development.
• 3+ years of experience working with Linux, networked systems and databases preferred.
• 3+ years of web-based test automation frameworks like Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, or Cypress or application test automation frameworks like Appium, UI Automator, or Calabash
• 3+ years of experience working with cloud-based applications.
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages (Java/C++) and utilization of test automation scripting languages (Python/TypeScript/Ruby)
• Experience with the reporting processes of TestNG and Junit5 Experience with the JVM-based implementations of Cucumber experience with usage of POM
• Good understanding of API QA with tools like REST Assured and Postman preferred
• Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies and ability to gather requirements to generate test plans
